Summer Solistice / Summer Bucket List ideas for kids!

SUMMER
has OFFICIALLY arrived !!

This year, we found so many really cute ideas for summer!  We wanted to share a few with you so you can get your Summer Party started!  There seems to be an overwhelming trend on Summer Bucket list crafts so we narrowed it down to a few of our favorites.  This is something we do with the kids year after year and they have a blast doing it.  Hope you enjoy the "longest day of the year"! Check out our last year's Summer Sun Party blog post - HERE

Now all you need to do is download it,
print it out at your favorite printer
(We use Staples & Costco...make sure you choose lustre print option AND turn auto correct OFF)
and pop it into an 11x14 frame of your choice.

Then here's the fun part...

Use a dry erase marker to cross off what you have done.
X it out
Make a squiggle line through it
Zig zag across it
*Oh and use a dry erase marker that is not almost dried out like mine!  =)

And the kiddos should have fun just trying to find the item to cross off.

Enjoy your FREE printable
and
enjoy your SUMMER fun!!

She cut 12x12 scrapbooking paper (this is from Wal-Mart) into quarters so she  had 6x6 squares.  Then using the computer and printer she made 4x4 white squares with the activities printed in them in 8 different fonts.  Attach the white squares to the scrapbook paper squares with double stick tape.  Then you can use sticky tack to put these up in a frame.

    Printable: Summer of Fun Kit
    This is just too cute!

    - downloaded Summer Fun kit (link is above)
    - laminator (optional)
    - dry erase marker (optional)
    - tape
    - jar or other container
    - scissors or paper trimmer
    - pen

    1. Print all pages.  I printed onto lightweight card stock, but you can print onto regular paper if you want to.
    2. Cut out each of the 80 Activity Cards using a paper trimmer or scissors.  The cards are color coded into different categories as follows...

3.Use pen to fill in additional activities already scheduled or that your family enjoys on the blank Activity Cards provided labeled Wild Card.

    4. Laminate calendar page. Use dry-erase marker to indicate the week.
    5. Decorate jar (or other container).

    6. Place cut Activity cards into jar.
    7. On Sunday have children take turns drawing cards of different colors out of jar.

    8. Use scotch tape to arrange Activity Cards onto your calendar next to the day your family will do that activity.
